Anthony John Towells, 53, had a blood alcohol content of 0.175 when he was breath tested by police on April 30, 2021. The court heard Towells, who was driving a heavy vehicle to pick up a piece of machinery for his job, became involved in the crash with a rental removal truck after its driver tried to overtake his vehicle. ....

The Bureau of Meteorology’s rain gauges recorded huge totals across the region, with 74mm at Killarney and 62mm at Queen Mary Falls coming out on top.
