( cheers and applause ) ladies and gentlemen, before we get started, i just want to take a moment to talk about the attack today in alexandria. once again, we re all shocked in mind and soul by a mass shooting, this time targeting, apparently, republican congressmen. and i pray to god that everyone pulls through. violence of any kind is never justified and is the last refuge of the incompetent. thankfully, none of the members or their staff or police were killed today. and i will say this: even in the horror of this day, there was reason to take heart in bipartisan responses like this: we will use this occasion as one that brings us together, and not separates us further. we are united in our shock. we are united in our anguish. and an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. stephen: so i just want to say thank you to the congressional leadership and to the president fo ....

murder trial. now they are speaking through a lawsuit naming the town of danvers, the school system, the architect behind recent renovations, and the janitorial company. the suit alleges that no one was watching the security cameras. and a janitor cleaned up evidence. what procedures have changed so there s no breakdown? the layout of the school left ritzer alone. no one else appeared to be in the same academic wing. and one student agrees. there s some spots, certain engineering wing is a big one. it s more excluded. i have a daughter that s a junior. situation but i have they ve dealt with it the best they could. reporter: the danvers town manager sent us a statement saying colleen s death was a tragedy for the whole community and our hearts continue to go out to the family. we respect the legal process the family is pursuing. the superintendent and the school board said they could not comment on pending litigation. christina hager, wbz news. new video res ....
