OPT is a popular route for Indian students to work in the US after the completion of their studies.
According to the Open Doors survey in November 2020, which tracks international student numbers, there were 81,173 Indian students enrolled for the OPT programme.
International students on F-1 visas at US universities are eligible for OPT, which allows temporary employment directly related to their major areas of study.
Students can apply to receive up to 12 months of OPT employment authorisation before completing their academic studies (pre-completion) and/or after completing their academic studies (post-completion). ....

From adapting to online classes to dealing with ‘Zoom fatigue’, the past year has been challenging for Shreyas Aiyar, a graduate student at Maryland’s Johns Hopkins University. “The lack of in-person interaction made everything much harder. With libraries closed and restrictions around meetings, group work was challenging,” Aiyar said. “As a teaching assistant myself, office hours held online were much less effective.” Aiyar is one among the large numbers of Indian students who have returned home in the wake of the pandemic and coping with its challenges. ....

Apple released new OS X printer drivers for HP printers on Tuesday titled “HP Printer Drivers v5.0 for OS X.” The patch notes for the update are sparse even by Apple standards, saying simply, “This download includes the latest HP printing and scanning software for OS X.” It’s a safe assumption the update improves performance across the line.
