Speaking at the event, Rio urged the police personnel to be vigilant, saying that drug trafficking is increasing in Sovima village though crime rate is low. He also asked the residents of the village to be supportive and cooperative by providing information to the police. Policing has become more challenging with criminals using all kind of latest technology, he said, while expressing contentment over anti-social elements being caught by the cyber crime branch. Our Correspondent Mokokchung, Oct. 12 (EMN): The Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) Trophy 2022 was kicked off by Aotula T Imchen, SP Mokokchung, at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on October 11. Imchen in her speech, lauded the MDFA for successfully hosting the tournament for the service of the public and also successfully hosting the Dr.T Ao Trophy. She also said the tournament was a great platform to promote and motivate grassroots level participation while improving the level of the players to strive towards playing in state, national and international levels. “We all know football is not just a beautiful game but it is also an emotion for many people. An update from the superintendent of police (crime) and PRO of PHQ stated that Nagaland DGP T John Longkumer, senior police officers of PHQ, unit commanders and other meritorious students and parents attended the programme through video conference from various parts of Nagaland. It stated that the DGP felicitated and presented the DGP commendation certificate along with cash of INR 30,000 per achiever to all the 13 meritorious children of Nagaland Police personnel in recognition for their excellent academic achievement and performance.
