live from center city in philadelphia this is fox 29 news at 11. we re on top of developing story at 11. some of the facts of this case are clear cut. a mill schooler is hurt. a dog is dead after authorities say the animal tacked him but other details are proving more difficult to pin down. good evening, i m lucy noland. for starters investigators are trying figure out who owned the dog. fox 29 s dave schratwieser is live in wilmington. dave. reporter: lucy, that teenaged victim was tacked right outside his own home. to night his family tells us he s still hospitalized in stable condition after being treated for his injuries. as authorities try to figure out exactly what touched off this incident. i just i wish it never happen. reporter: relatives fought back tears as they described the pitbull attack on the 13 year old boy that happened around 6:30 wednesday night near the boy s home at 27th and washington. it was just shocking. reporter: you worried abou

pitbull attack on the 13 year old boy that happened around 6:30 wednesday night near the boy s home at 27th and washington. it was just shocking. reporter: you worried about him. um-hmm. reporter: the boy s sister asked us not to identify her. she says her brother was bitten repeatedly as he and his brother struggled to get the dog off him and medic responded and took victim to the hospital with multiple bite wounds. on his feet, his legs and his arms. reporter: family members heard the eighth grader screaming and came out to seat dog s teeth lock on the boy s leg. they say the police tased the dog and fired two shots killing the pitbull. i just want my brother to be okay. reporter: delaware state animal welfare experts arrived on the scene. their investigating exactly where the dog came from and who owned it. although witnesses told them the dog was roaming the neighborhood just before the attacks. i think it should have died. reporter: now animal control
