Jon Harrison: Tributes continue to pour in as money is raised to build memorial

MEMBERS of the Rosyth community and beyond have raised nearly £1,000 to create a permanent memorial to the late Jon Harrison. Jon, who was 63, died on January 25 after losing his battle with COVID-19 and tributes have continued to pour in in his memory. Well known for his commitment to football in the town and for being the driving force behind the project to turn the Fleet Grounds into a community facility through the South West Fife Community Sports Partnership (SWFSP), his passion for football saw him work as a scout for his hometown club, Grimsby Town, as well as on a freelance basis, and serve as the chairman of Rosyth AFC Saturday Amateurs.

Jon Harrison, 63, was instrumental in developing the Fleet Grounds in Rosyth, a community sports hub run by South West Fife Community Sports Partnership, of which he was a founding trustee and former chair.
