New Concord waterline replacement project gets underway $610,000 project to be completed in September Staff Report NEW CONCORD The Village of New Concord is replacing the waterline along the Friendship Drive-Ohio 83 corridor from John Glenn School Road south to Thompson Avenue. Work on the $610,000 project will begin Tuesday, and is expected to be completed at the end of September. This is a major infrastructure initiative for New Concord, prompted by a number of water breaks and maintenance issues in this area, according to a press release issued by the village.  We have been working for the past several years to obtain financing for this project.
