John DeBella, a prominent voice of Philly radio for over four decades, has officially announced his retirement. The longtime WMGK host is known for his humor, his philanthropic events and his longtime feud with fellow radio personality Howard Stern as the pair battled for Philly ratings in the late 1980s.
On June 30, DeBella will call it a career, capping a nearly 48-year run on the air, 21 years of which were spent at 102.9 WMGK, his longtime home on the dial.
