The land development plan for the restaurant at 1940 East Third St. was approved by Supervisors Marc Sortman, chairman; Paul Nyman, John Bower Jr., Rick Wheeland and Virginia Eaton. The land development plan was approved on the condition that Larson Design Group review and answer the site stormwater management plan and updates on the plan. Representatives of the restaurant were at the meeting Tuesday night. Restaurant officials said the construction will begin once there are all clearances and told the Sun-Gazette the opening of the restaurant would likely take place next year. ....

[email protected] In a 4-1 vote, Loyalsock Township supervisors approved an ordinance created to have businesses have a locked box with a key to the business on their property in case of fires or burglary alarms, in the regular township meeting on Tuesday. Bill Burdett, township manager, said that the ordinance will require businesses to have a lockbox with their key inside for only fire company usage. This ordinance will help protect the businesses and also help save money because before this ordinance, if an alarm or a fire were to occur at a business and there was no way in, the fire company would have to break the door to get in and investigate the situation. ....
