There are two issues at play here, the second is the more serious;
1) The optics of travelling when there is a travel advisory in place and everyone else is expected to honour the lockdown;
2) The poor decision-making exhibited shows these people don’t have the necessary skills to be making decisions and policies as part of the government or as our representatives as MLAs or MPs. If they can’t make a correct decision in such an obvious case as this, how can we trust these people to make more difficult decisions in running a government?
We should expect better behaviour and judgement from our representatives. ....
