Attendance Plans for USC's Remaining Outdoor Home Events, Spring Game

By City News Service Apr 12, 2021 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - USC announced today that it received state and county public health approvals to open its remaining outdoor home spring sports events to a limited number of family members and guests of participating student-athletes and coaches beginning tomorrow. Seating will be limited so that USC can comply with updated state public health guidance for higher education and college athletics that has been adopted by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, as well as city, county and campus COVID-19 health and safety protocols. In addition, all spectators must be California residents and seating will be confined to blocks of six or fewer seats with members of a single household or audience group (audience groups must be limited to a total of six people made up of a maximum of three household units).

Knott's Berry Farm Announces Reopening Plans

The Buena Park theme park will reopen for the general public on May 21. Among the interactions that will be open, “Knott s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair will debut with a “4-D interactive dark ride that is an homage to a another classic attraction from 35 years ago. Knott s Summer Nights attraction is also scheduled to return with live music and food and drink specials. The theme park will also host a nightly ceremony that will be focused around a redesigned, illuminated K-tower at the park. The design will feature photos and other decor that pays tribute to the park s history.

Weinstein s L.A.-based defense lawyer, Mark Werksman, told the New York Daily News that it s not safe for his 69-year-old client to travel to Los Angeles County given the coronavirus pandemic. “He s got serious medical impairments. Suspect Arrested in Deaths of Three Young Children in Reseda

By City News Service Apr 11, 2021 RESEDA (CNS) - Police have confirmed that a 30-year-old woman arrested in Tulare County for the killing of three young children whose bodies were found at a Reseda apartment today was their mother, and considered the sole suspect. Liliana Carrillo was arrested in the Ponderosa area of Tulare County, east of Porterville, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Cervantes said about 2:30 p.m. Police said all the children appeared to be under the age of 5, and were found in the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard, near Strathern Street, after the deaths were reported about 9:30 a.m., according to Cervantes.
