tony perkins is joining us with more on that. is it my imagination? no. every day is a little more fast. a cold start to the day. temperatures in the 20s. we ve had some areas in the teens but we ve seen those temperatures come up. and our headlines, another cold start this morning. we re used to it as we continue to see the cold temperatures. here is the good news. the winds lighten up today. we won t have the gusty winds we ve had during the last couple of days. temperatures, however, will stay below average today and into tomorrow. even though we see a slight increase in temperatures tomorrow. and then we keep our eyes on a weekend storm which should bring precipitation to us. it should be rain in washington, snow to the north and west. take a look at the current temperatures. 26 now in the district. 20 in baltimore. dulles airport is at 22 degrees. winchester is 25. there are some teens. fredericksberg is at 18, harrisonburg is at 16. your forecast for today, most ....
jitters. kids heading back to school run into a bear at the bus stop. good morning to all of you. i am sitting in for the vacationing dylan ratigan this week. we begin with the wildfires threatening thousands of home around los angeles the official count, 53 buildings destroys. 12,000 are still in the fire s path. more than 3600 firefighters are working on the frontlines to knock down the flames. this fire is only 5% contained at this point. it is an extraordinary setting. i am a native of southern california, and i can tell you this area is coming dangerously close to beautiful homes. there are a lot of magnificent homes there. schools and everything that are edged up right into the foothills. and these are people that know they are based there, but nonetheless build sprawling estates. let s bring in michael okwu covering the fires. give us the prediction about how the day will go for the crews out there today, michael. reporter: that s the $10,000 question, co ....
