We have seen in recent years recognition of corruption and wideranging consequences. Both for the nations in which it occurs and u. S. Foreign olicy. Intensified economic and social inequalities, it drains Development Dollars and if prevents presents obstacles for democracy by undermining the legitimacy of institutions and countries. Endemic corruption erodes trust in the government and it drives me citizens toward radical movements. Insurgencies that threaten those countries as well as in u. S. Interest. It is crucial the United States ddress these threats and develop effective strategies to ombat this abroad. Amtrak Train Derailment in philadelphia. At least seven people are known to be dead and dozens are injured.
