of the breaking story. reporter: firefighters have just knocked down this fire. they re still trying to put out some of the hot spots. this building is old. firefighters are describing it as a victorian type of home. here s a photo that was taken at the height of the fire. and when the firefighters got out here, around 9:30, as you can see the photo, they saw flames comie ining out of every window of the second floor. we just learned the building is vacant. there are still a lot of challenges facing the firefighters. there was initially some problems with collapse. we also had problems with electrical wires that are dropping down on top of our fire apparatus. there were huge safety hazards for us. reporter: they re still worried about this building collapsing. what could have started this fire, where it started, that would be the goal of fire investigators to find out in the next day or two. again, no one hurt in this fire here in downtown san jose. we re live, in ....
