On that particular Thursday morning, there was a bit of buzz related to a strain of the novel Coronavirus that had reached the U.S. shores in the Northwest. The days that immediately followed began to show us all the enormity of the situation we were facing, and then on March 13, the world stopped. I seriously considered rescinding my acceptance, but a series of phone conversations with DSO board members and Music Director David Amado changed my mind.
