Washington, a community in pain after a School Shooting. We just learned that two 14yearold girls are being treated at one hospital and that they are in Critical Condition. Weve seen tears, weve seen anger. They are just just grieving. Right now i think they are just settled in. Things are quiet. They know the circumstances. Theyre hoping for the best. But the next three days are going to be crucial. These young people are being monitored moment by moment. They have a nurse at their bedside constantly. A doctor is very nearby constantly. All the neurosurgeons have rounded this morning and theyll be here rounding throughout the day. But this will be a process. It takes we wont know a whole lot more for the next two or three days. Two other victims are being treated at a Second Hospital and earlier today that hospital said a 14yearold boy is still in serious condition and a 15yearold boy is in Critical Condition. Witnesses say 14yearold Jaylen Fryberg opened fire and then shot and killed

We should tell you that there are two patients here, two girls. Their conditions are said to be extremely critical after being shot at very close range. You talked about that handgun that was recovered. That was a 40 caliberberretta handgun, highcapacity weapon. And police recovered it at the scene. Theyre also telling us, police are, that they interviewed more than 100 student witnesses. Obviously a lot of people saw this shooting.
