Thinking about this in the long view of history, this is a very, very new experience. For our grandparents, news was scarce. Information was tightly controlled, really restrictive. In just a short period of time, the sources available to kings and president s are now available to all of us any time, anywhere, in the palms of our hands. So if you ever find yourself feeling like its hard to keep up, thats because it is hard. Our brains, just like our bellies, were wired for scarcity and now were surrounded by overabundance.
