They will now represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam with the song ‘Love Is On My Side’. Ten acts returned to the stage of the RTP studios and perform their songs again after the semi-final stage. After both jury and televote cast their votes, The Black Mamba were declared as the winners. Their song ‘Love Is On My Side’ received 10 points from both the televote and jury vote. ....

FdC Grand Final A total of 20 acts battled for the right to defend the Portuguese colours at the forthcoming 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. 10 acts competed in each of the two semi-finals. Five acts from each semi-final have qualified to the Grand Final. Hence a total of 10 acts will battle for the golden ticket to Rotterdam during the Grand Final of Festival da Cançao 2021. All three Festival da Cançao 2021 shows will be held at the RTP Studios in Lisbon due to the COVID 19 pandemic restrictions and measures . The 2021 Portuguese Eurovision entry will be determined via a mixed jury/public deliberation. ....

Portugal: Festival da Canção Grand Finale Preview This weekend, Portuguese broadcaster RTP will finish up its three-week festival of song with the grand final of its long-running national final Festival da Canção, which will be used to choose the Portuguese representative to the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Over the last two weeks, the Portuguese public alongside a panel of jury members have selected a total of ten participants from two semifinals to compete for the title from a pool of twenty songs, including eighteen of which were directly invited to participate by RTP and two who won an open call for submissions. ....
