Are here to discuss the lives and intersecting careers of three men. Two of these three men helped define kentucky politics for much of the 20th century. Both serving as governor and as senator. Both were intensely and ambitious men both rose from modest origins. Both were democrats born in western kentucky. Both were accomplished athletes in their youth and fine coaches thereafter.
