The Hamas rocket attacks over the past three days have been unprecedented in many ways. But of even greater concern to most Israelis is the hostility and violence it has awoken in parts of the Israeli Arab Muslim community, which has in turn elicited violence from some hardline Jews.
Muslim rioters continued their rampage in cities throughout Israel on Wednesday night, attacking Jews and Jewish property, and the continued pogroms have led to similar acts by Jewish hooligans.
In Haifa, Lod, Acco, Tiberius and Arab towns across Israel, Muslim rioters threw rocks at Israeli motorists, set fire to cars and vandalized property, attacked Jewish passersby, wounding dozens of Jews, including several in serious condition.

Israel appears to have lost control over the nationwide riots by Arab and Jews as dozens of people were wounded and many detained following a night of unprecedented civil unrest in the country.
The latest outburst of Israel-Gaza violence has reached deeper into the country than any since the 2000 Palestinian intifada. Arab and Jewish mobs were seen rampaging through the streets, savagely beating people and torching cars, in cities and towns that just recently were praised for developing co-existence between Israelis and Palestinians.
