Online Sales Robust Even as Tasting Room Sales Resume Why WineDirect Partnered with Big Commerce May 11, 2021 At about this time last year, WineDirect - which serves more than 500 fulfillment customers and more than 2,000 wine brands through its ecommerce platform – saw tasting room sales go down to about zero while online wine sales quadrupled. Now that tasting rooms are open a year later, the ecommerce boom shows no sign up letting up. “We haven’t returned to the pre-pandemic mean,” WineDirect - Senior Vice President, ecommerce Jim Agger told WBM. “It was up 400 percent versus pre pandemic levels during April, May and June (of 2020).
