CLEVELAND — Thousands of veterans 65 and older signed up to receive their first dose of the Pfizer BioTech COVID-19 vaccine this weekend through the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System.
The Cleveland VA Medical Center, as well as Akron, Youngstown and Mansfield VA Clinics opened for special weekend appointments Saturday and Sunday. ....

CLEVELAND More Northeast Ohio Veterans can get the COVID-19 vaccine starting Saturday. 
Thanks to VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System, nearly 4,000 Veterans age 65 and older will receive their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine this weekend. 
On Saturday and Sunday, four VA sites will be supplying the vaccine for Veterans with scheduled appointments.
The Cleveland VA Medical Center and Akron, Youngstown and Mansfield VA Clinics are the sites for this weekend s vaccine distribution. ....

CLEVELAND — The first shipments of COVID-19 vaccine began arriving in Northeast Ohio on Tuesday; so far, Aultman Hospital and the Cleveland VA Medical Center have posted videos and photos showing what is perhaps the most anticipated delivery this holiday season.
The first round of 975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine was delivered to Aultman Hospital in Canton just after 9 a.m. Tuesday. ....

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center has been selected as one of 37 VA sites in the country to receive an initial supply of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The site was selected as one of the first across the United States to receive doses because of the ability to vaccinate large numbers of people and store the Pfizer vaccines at extremely cold temperatures.
“We are very excited to provide a vaccine that has the potential to help get COVID-19 under control when used alongside public health measures, such as masking, physical distancing, and frequent handwashing,” said VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System CEO Jill K. Dietrich. ....
