I DON’T KNOW BUT IT JUST HAS A DIFFERENT FEEL I THINK FOR PEOPLE TO WATCH AND SEE CANDY MADE HARD CANDY. THE CHOCOLATES WARREN CHIMP IS A FOURTH GENERATION OWNER OF SHEMPS CONFECTIONERY. HE’S ALSO KNOWN AS THE CANDYMAN SHOW PEOPLE HOW 90 IS MADE IN YOU KNOW, YOU CAN GIVE THEM A TASTE OF IT AND THEY SAY WOW THAT’S GOOD. THE SHOP IS CONSIDERED AN ANCHOR OF DOWNTOWN JEFFERSONVILLE AS IT CELEBRATING 130 YEARS SO MANY HAPPY TIMES AND RED HOTS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THIS BUILDING, BUT IT’S ALSO SURVIVED A LOT. Show Transcript COUNTY LEGISLATORS. SENATE BILL 5 AIMS TO RESTRICT LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS’ ABILITY TO ISSUE MANDATES. IT COMES AS INDIANA IS ENDING ITS STATEWIDE RESTRICTIONS DUE TO COVID-19 AND LEAVING IT UP TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO DECIDE ON ANY MANDATES. MY UNDERSTANDING IS IT IS A CHECKS AND BALANCES PROCESS GETTING BACK TO BASIC CIVICS. REPORTER: CLARK COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT’S DR. ERIC YAZEL SAYS HE WORKED ON THE EARLY VERSION OF THE BILL WITH ONE OF ITS AUTHORS, CHARLESTOWN SENATOR CHRIS GARTEN.
