Members of The Bucks County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America donated $1,500 to the Bucks County COVID-19 Recovery Fund, a program implemented by the United Way of Bucks County to provide grants to nonprofit organizations in the county earmarked for COVID-19 outreach.
Since its inception, the COVID-19 Recovery Fund has provided 77 grants, exceeding $400,000, to 37 local nonprofits to support people impacted by COVID-19. The grants focus on life-sustaining and essential human services.
The teen fundraising committee of Jack & Jill Club of America Bucks County Chapter held a virtual silent auction to raise funds.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has upended our lives and community. Our silent auction was a great opportunity to raise money to help those in need in the Bucks County community,” said Hayden Reid, president of the teen group.
