JI for action against terrorists
LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that instead of making a distinction between terrorists, the government would have to take action against them. He was addressing a joint meeting of the JI Sindh Shoora and the district level JI bodies in Karachi.
Sirajul Haq said that the JI had always condemned terrorism at every forum and added that targeting religion and madrissahs for terrorism was wrong and condemnable.
He said like other politicians, murderous attempts had also been made on a number of JI leaders including former JI Ameer Qazi Husain Ahmed. JI deputy chief Asadullah Bhutto, JI Sindh chief Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui and eminent religious scholar Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi also addressed the meeting. ....
