JGLS Sonepat has convinced 10 senior advocates to each teach 10 separate eight-week online credit courses about various facets of litigation for up to 200 final year law students, as it has scheduled to start its first years from 1 September (see below).
JGLS now in top 100 of QS law ranks
JGLS Sonepat has continued its steady climb up the QS World University Rankings law subject rankings and is now in the top 100 while
NLSIU Bengaluru had disappeared, following both having managed to crack the QS’ metrics last year.
This year, JGLS’ parent university, OP Jindal Global University was ranked 76th with a score of 70.5, which is around 2 points higher than last year’s.
We have reached out to an NLSIU spokesperson and vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Sudhir Krishnaswamy for comment, though we understand that its 2020 inclusion had followed a semi-independent initiative to crack global rankings carried out by a faculty member under the previous VC, Prof Venkata Rao.
It would make so much better sense to instead use the money to buy a second campus in Delhi or Mumbai, even if it be smaller. The price will appreciate. Also, you will not to build hostels because the students will have homes in Delhi and Mumbai and can be day scholars (like GLC and Amity).ReplyReport to LI

A law school meant for the richest 1% gets unlimited corporate funds + special status and autonomy from the govt, while the supposed islands of excellence keep getting second-class treatment from both the centre and states, while no corporates donate to them.ReplyReport to LI
