after the plane crashes in lake tahoe. good evening everyone. i m carolyn johnson. dan is off tonight. federal investigators are headed to lake tahoe tonight to lack into the cause of the small plane crash. single engine moonie 20 aircraft went down shortly after take off at 11:30 this morning at lake tahoe airport. numerous reports we 7 that the plane was having difficulty seemed to be dropping in altitude and took off to the nort back to the right and then jet plane overhead shortly afterwards picked up the emergency beak on from the plane that goes off when the plane crashes. plane crashed into a wooded area not far from the airport. 67-year-old steven left died at the scene. his wife karen the only passenger on board was air-lifted to the hospital with serious injuries. the couple is if palo alto. and rescue crew say it is incredible she survived. no information yet available as to why the plane crashed. at sfo tonight thunderstorms are causing delay for flight he
