Well a new study released by the journal of the american medical association has many people wondering whether their fda-approved medical device is safe as advertised. a review of 113 medical devices recalled by the fda show a whopping 71% were fast-tracked and not subjected to the more scrutinized approval process. we are talking about hip joint replacements and heart valves to fibrillators, and the fda says the approval process needs to be strengthened and streamlined. congress gets ready to battle over the president s proposed budget and break down how washington wants to spend your cash.
