SKIPTON High Corn Mill’s new tenant Jessica Smithson has joined a growing band of mind and body businesses based at the medieval mill. They include Balanced Life Physiotherapy, The Lightwell Practice, Spirit of Pilates and Sexton & Co hairdressers. Skin by Jessica Smithson is a results-driven beauty boutique offering a range of treatments, from new-technology facials to traditional beauty therapies. Jessica, who lives in Skipton, trained in London, and has been working in beauty for nearly 18 years. She has moved into the unit previously occupied by Balanced Life Physiotherapy where owner Claire McGillycuddy has moved to a larger, neighbouring unit. High Corn Mill landlord Andrew Mear said: “Given the peaceful location of High Corn Mill it’s perhaps not surprising that so many small businesses concerned with ‘mindfulness’ are choosing to base themselves here. It’s becoming quite a hub for health and wellbeing practitioners.”
