Zavos has practiced in the greater Washington area for more than 40 years and focuses on issues such as adoption, parentage, assisted reproductive technology and estate planning, according to a press release. Zavos represented Jessica Port in the case Port v. Cowan, which went to the Maryland Court of Appeals in 2012. The court’s ruling in the case helped establish the precedent that Maryland must recognize same-sex marriages from other jurisdictions, according to the press release. ....
