College student highlighted as potential future Olympian

A BARTON Peveril Sixth Form College student has been highlighted as a potential future Olympian.
Monique Vennis-Ozanne is being dubbed the next big thing after being selected for the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Transition Group - 49er Winter 2020/21.
The Transition Group aims to bridge the gap between youth and adult sailing, with a focus on developing youth sailors into Olympic athletes.
Monique said: “I m very happy to have been selected for the squad, it is the first step in my ambition to go to the Olympics.”
The athlete and her teammate Jessica Jobson have been selected for the 49erFX (Women’s Double Handed Skiff) group. ....
