The Equity Committee presented the recommendations it developed after six months of researching Asbury Park Police Department policies and talking with residents about their concerns. The recommendations for police reform include: Create some sort of civilian review board. The Equity Committee recommended the city create the review board. The committee suggested the city conduct further review on what the structure and scope the civilian review board would have, including whether it would have subpoena powers.
