Written by Sven on March 7, 2021 March 8th is my birthday and international women’s day, coincidence?  Put out a call for recommendations for songs from all female, or at least female and transgender fronted bands .  Friends provided in spades.  There are a lot of bands I was not familiar with which made putting  this show toghere all the more fun. Big thanks to Peter, Lisa, Helena, Doug, P-man, Cindy, Maggie, Marian, Tom, Doug(Jerk Dog Records), Laramie, George J, Lauren, Justin, and Gregg (I opened the show with a Go Go’s instrumental -good call). So it is all powerful women singing and slinging rock & roll on HotRodRock this week.  Just some of the bands you will hear: Didi Wray, The Soviets, Dirty Rotten Snake In the Grass, Bratmobile, GRLwood, Twin Temple, Go-Devils, The Gits… And I am going to attempt my first concert report since Covid. All outdoor venues where the severs wear masks.
