FREDERICK: A Navy medic shot and critically wounded two people at a Maryland business park on Tuesday, then fled to a nearby military base where he was shot and killed, police and US Navy officials said.
The male shooter entered a business at the Riverside Tech Park, causing people inside to flee, but it was unclear if the shooting took place inside or outside, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said.
After the shooting, the man drove about 10 minutes to Fort Detrick, where he was shot by police who followed him onto the base, Lando said. ....

At Least 2 Injured, Suspect Dead in Incident Near Maryland Base: Officials
Two people were injured and a suspect was shot and killed during an “active shooter” incident in Maryland, officials said Tuesday. The suspect was identified as a Navy medic, and the shooting occurred at a business park.
“We are on scene responding to an active shooter in the 8400 block of Progress Drive. Currently, there are two victims and one suspect is down,” Frederick Police wrote.
The man entered a business at the Riverside Tech Park, causing people inside to flee, but it was unclear if the shooting took place inside or outside, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said. The two people who were shot at the business park were critically wounded and flown to a hospital, Lando said. ....

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) A Navy medic shot and critically wounded two people at a Maryland business park Tuesday, then fled to a nearby Army base where he was shot and killed, police and U.S. Navy officials said.
The man entered a business at the Riverside Tech Park, causing people inside to flee, but it was unclear if the shooting took place inside or outside, Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said. Lando said detectives are still trying to determine a possible motive and what the shooter’s relationship was to his victims. ....

Suspect dead and two critically injured in US shooting

Police said the suspect was dead and two victims were in critical condition.
According to police, a shooting happened at an address where a concrete business is located and about four miles from Fort Detrick.
The Navy did not release further details.
Jeremy Mutschler, director of marketing for Nicolock Paving Stones, said that his understanding is that the shooting was near the company’s Frederick location but not at the business itself.
“One of the victims who was wounded entered our facility looking for help and we were able to assist and call the authorities,” said Mr Mutschler, who is based in New York. ....
