Monday qualifiers: AdventHealth Championship

Eight players secured spots in this week’s AdventHealth Championship via open qualifying, with three players earning medalist honors at 6-under 66 – Patrick Flavin, Kyler Dunkle and Derek Ackerman – at The Golf Club at Creekmoor.
Flavin, who hails from Highwood, Illinois, made seven birdies against one bogey in Monday’s qualifier, earning a tee time Thursday at venerable Blue Hills CC in Kansas City, Missouri. The 25-year-old played collegiately at Miami (Ohio) University, graduating in 2018 with a degree in economics.

Over 100 players teed it up on The Players course in Westin, Fla. last week to qualify for the Canadian PGA Mackenzie Tour.

Jay “Jake” Card III is representing us on pro tour and making Shelter Island proud.
Although he had another good performance, he fell a couple of shots short of qualifying. He shot par for the tournament and carded 17 birdies.
Called by many the finest golfer to come out of Shelter Island, Jake notched a significant victory recently to add to his many triumphs.
