Steubenville police
Down: Firefighters administered Narcan to resuscitate a man found unresponsive on the sidewalk on Carnegie Street at Maryland.
Photographed: A man shopping at Harbor Freight said a stranger in a silver Jeep pulled up Monday and took pictures of him and his family.
Wobbly: A caller reported an impaired female walking around the Kroger parking lot Monday, and officers said when they located her, the woman did seem impaired and had blood on her shirt. She told them she was pregnant and had been assaulted earlier in the day.
Wrong place: A woman headed north in the 600 block of Lawson Avenue said she slowed to make a right turn into an alley Monday when she was rear-ended by a maroon SUV that fled the scene. Police said the woman’s vehicle had a large dent in the rear of the vehicle, and the hit-and-run driver’s SUV would have heavy front-end damage.
Jefferson County sheriff
Charged: Stacey Shebovsky, 50, 15657 state Route 152, Toronto, theft, burglary, Sunday; Kenneth Byrley, 47, 117 county Road 47, Toronto, pending charge of burglary, Sunday; Clifton Crawford, 29, 425 N. Fifth St., Steubenville, aggravated menacing, Monday.
Border wars: A Salineville man claims his neighbor pointed a high-powered rifle at him and threatened to shoot in an escalation of a 16-year-long dispute at a property he owns in Bergholz on Christmas Eve. The man said he was working in his driveway when the other man pulled up on a recreational vehicle and started yelling at him, then ran back to his RTV and grabbed the rifle, cocked it and pointed it at his head at “point-blank range” and threatened to fire it. He also believes the man removed survey pins and nails from his property.
