two months, concrete came falling down into traffic on the richmond san rafael bridge. this is one of the chunks a motorist saw fall from the upper deck to the lower deck of the bridge 12:20 this afternoon. the driver called 9-1-1. as soon as we got the call, we immediately responded. reporter: luckily, nobody was hit or hurt. the chp closed the number two lane while cal trans inspected the situation. traffic was backed up for two hours as cal trans took steps to make sure the bridge was safe. the inspector went up there and took a cherry picker style bucket list and knocked off the remaining loose pieces of concrete and basically ensured that there s no immediate hazard. reporter: back in february, the same thing took place. that time, football sized pieces of concrete hit a car. nobody was hurt that time either. but drivers have told us they re getting more and more nervous about crossing the bridge. we re back here live. cal trans is working with the contract ....
