Ezard wins fourth term as Jacksonville mayor
Jacksonville Mayor Andy Ezard will return to his office for a fourth term following his victory Tuesday night in the city s mayoral election.
Ezard received 81% or 1,601 votes, with all 18 city precincts reporting Tuesday night. The Jacksonville native defeated business owner Nicole Riley, who received about 19% or 366 votes. Ezard has served as mayor since 2009.
In other contested area races:
Sangamon County
Buffalo: Incumbent village trustees Doug Badgley and David Bueltmann won reelection Badgley receiving 26% of the vote (54 votes) and Bueltmann receiving 24% percent of the vote (50 votes).
The final spot on the board remains up for grabs, with Citizens Party candidate Thomas Paige and independent Jennifer Dennison each separated by one vote. Paige has received 13.40 percent of the vote (28 votes), while Dennison has received 12.92% of the vote (27 votes). ....
