Joe Desmarais wants to bring multilayered public service experience to District 2 seat

After decades of working in public service throughout the globe, Joe Desmarais is looking to continue on a local level. He is running for a Vacaville City Council seat in District 2.
“I’ve been in the military/public service since I was 19 years old nonstop, pretty much no breaks,” he said.
Having served as a police officer, Marine and with the U.S. Department of State, Desmarais said he has not had an opportunity to be politically involved, as he was carrying out the goals of the department or presidential administration, which change over time. ....
