24yrs old Man Committed to high court for robbery : Sierra Leone Concord Times

24 years old Sylvanus Kaiyanda, who was standing before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh at the Ross Road Court No.3 for robbery with aggravation, has been committed to High Court for trail.
The accused was charged with three counts of conspiracy and robbery with aggravation contrary to Section 23 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1961 as repealed and replaced by Section 2 of the Larceny Amendment Act of 1971.
Inspector A. Kamara alleges that the accused on Tuesday 1st December, 2020, at 28 Black Hall Road, Kissy in Freetown, conspired with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit robbery with aggravation.
Magistrate Daboh stated that the offences are indictable and that no plea was taken. ....

Two in court for stealing computers at Cheshire Home : Sierra Leone Concord Times

Two accused, Abraham Mansaray and Ishmael Mansaray, have been taken to court by the Executive Director/Chairman of Freetown Cheshire Home, Dr. Abdulai Dumbuya, for allegedly breaking into his office and stole laptops.
Both accused persons appeared before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Court No.3, Ross Road in Freetown on three counts of office breaking and larceny contrary to Section 26 (1)of the Larceny Act 1916 and receiving of stolen goods contrary to Section 33 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, the first accused,  Abraham Mansaray, on Friday, 6
th  November, 2020, at the Freetown Cheshire Home,Race Course, Client Town in Freetown, with intent to steal, broke into and entered the office of Dr. Abdulai Dumbuya and stole therein two dell laptop computers and their power pack  valued fifteen million three hundred and fifty thousand Leones, property of the Freetown Cheshire Home, Dorothy Spr ....

Cousins in court for Le 18m : Sierra Leone Concord Times

Magistrate Mark Ngegba at the Freetown Magistrate Court No. 1 has granted Le 30 million bail to one Osman Bangura who  police alleged that he converted 31 bale of used clothing valued over Le18 million to his own use after it was entrusted to him by his cousin, Alhaji Bundu Bangura for sale.
According to the police, the accused person, on diverse dates between 1st and 31st November, 2020, at No. 31 Bombay Street in Freetown, fraudulently converted to his own use and benefit,31 bales of used clothing valued over Le 18 million Leones. 
He was faced with one count of fraudulent conversion contrary to Section 20 of the Larceny Act 1916.  ....

Lebanese businessman granted bail : Sierra Leone Concord Times

Kamal Namatallah Mansour, accused of allegedly converting 142 pieces of diamond weighing 79 carats, to his own use and benefit, has been admitted to bail in the sum of Le 2 billion and two sureties in like sum.
The accused, on Tuesday January 12, 2021 made his sixth appearance before the presiding Magistrate of Court No.1 Marke Ngegba at Pademba Road in Freetown.
The accused is answering to two count charges of fraudulent conversion contrary to Section 20 (1)(iv)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused, on a date between Wednesday, 10th July, 2002 and Saturday, 19 October, 2002, at 28 Hangha Road in Kenema, fraudulently converted to his own use and benefit, 142 pieces of diamonds valued $425,000 entrusted to him for safe keeping by Foday Fembeh. ....
