It came from a group of officers that have gathered april 7th and these officers concluded that because the circumstances facing the army that it might be best to suggest to general lee that he opened negotiations with general grant. Matt is a native of houston, mississippi, and received a ba in business and history from the university of mississippi. He has worked at Petersburg National battlefield, National Historical park, Manassas National battlefield and Vicksburg National military park. Hes currently employed as a ranger slash historian at gettysburg National Military park. And he will be presenting to you about the fallen leader Earl Van Dorn.
