to the golden gate that s nice to know we do have some spots of a further south in the bay hugging the blows in the east bay mountains right around seminole same area where we actually did see some dense fog yesterday too strive alley on through the snow great also looking at that fog and then you re seeing some dense fog 2 out of the delta and eventually out to the central valley, some to lee fog having formed overnight out there now as we work our way into the afternoon much less that fog and your gun actually have some clear skies and we did yesterday when overall we had partly cloudy conditions for your new year s day today for the second day of the new year we re going to see the return of some mostly sunny skies after these low clouds began to clear out into the afternoon. temperatures right now in the 40 s and 50 s not all that bad of a morning it is definitely chilly enough to bundle up you want to stay cozy, but of minimal 30 s napa and fairfield to her spots in the
them so be careful driving in the fog already are so let s get the details on the forecast and so the fog this morning could slow you down a little bit we have dense fog advisories for a couple of spots in the bay, some other spots are actually pretty clear like the golden gate bridge, our coastal areas are on the clear side of things today. well it s our inland valleys that are really looking. at that foggy impact such as a the tri valley down through san jose right there on the east bay mountains right, especially up along them is where you re looking at some of our debts us to fog and some of it settled into the bay to we have dense fog advisories for areas like the car keen as the delta out into the central valley which is you see here is lit up in that dim gray from the lay hoa long 80 all the way to sacramento. so if you re driving that route be mindful you re likely to be encountering some very low spots as far as visibility goes as i mentioned some of our bridges and
80 watch out for that fog too you re a lot better the closer to the coast you get this morning. skies will clear out to the afternoon that it s mostly sunny and looking really nice for much of the rest of the day. high temperatures will rise into the 50 s and 60 s doctor are cool morning in the 40 s right now oakland at 44 berkeley in alameda egypt, 47 napa saint helene a santa rosa you re are areas in the 30 s as i mentioned a nicer afternoon ahead of us sunshine reappearing and even clear than yesterday was robin thank you john over to. the richmond sandra fell have some heavy traffic here leading up to the toll plaza you re looking at a residual delay. this is what s left over after a stall that was right after the pay gates, we had a car stuck in the right lane. so it s gone, but as you can see it really did slow down the traffic is stacked up be on richmond. our rob also be on castro almost to richmond. parkway so if you get out there, you re like what are all these peo
conditions now you can see that timber on hasn t been foggy all morning long we ve been clear at the coast. it s been our inland areas that have seen. so much that fog livermore visibility has improved for you lot just these past 30 minutes, you are below a mile for visibility but during my last check with you now you re looking a lot better still some patches though that you can be expecting to run into along the east bay as well as to the car keen as out to the delta. later on this morning. we are crystal clear looking at some good conditions for your travels into the afternoon or just stepping outside and hopefully enjoying still under a dense fog advisory on in solano county up 80 as you traverse that route from the way how up to sacramento to be expecting some dense to lee fog into the central valley. so skies clearing out later today and with those clearing skies temperatures will begin to rise we re still in the 40 s and 50 s but we can expect a lot of the same number
