Dec 16, 2020 11:38 AM DeLand, FL - The dissolution of Volusia County s Revenue Division and the creation of a Treasury and Billing Division is another step in the transition as required by Florida Amendment 10. Volusia County Council members gave unanimous approval to ordinance 2020-19 which revises provisions within the code because of Amendment 10. Assistant County Attorney Heather Wallace explained that besides changing the name of the division, it includes deletion of references to the Department of Public Safety, the Elections Department, and the Property Appraisal Department. Business Services Director Jeaniene Jennings handled other transition items on the agenda. The first was the approval of two supplemental agreements. One between the Airport and the Sheriff s Office and the other between the Sheriff s and Emergency Management with the helicopter.
