Tuesday/Saturday: Discovery Depot Hosts Programming for Kids & Adults Visit Discovery Depot Children's Museum to learn through fun! Outside of their usual programming, the museum is hosting "Why is Voting Important" on Election Day (11/8), from 1 to 3 p.m. Free with admission, kids can create a "Future Voter" pin and a Duck for President craft. Then, on Science Saturday, children can create color-changing slime, learning what causes the slime to change colors, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by Parents Night Out – Shrek Style from 6 to 8 p.m. Ages 5 to 10 can craft, play games, and eat pizza with their parents. More than nine individuals involved in a drug trafficking operation are now in jail after a year-long investigation across multiple counties in North Georgia. On Wednesday, December 9, the investigation culminated with the multiple arrests for drugs, cash and stolen goods. Over the course of the investigation, law enforcement seized 433 grams of methamphetamine, 4 pounds of marijuana, 89 grams of crack cocaine, 53 grams of powder cocaine, 90 grams of heroin, 3 firearms, more than $19,000 U.S. Currency, and other assets valued at over $20,000. Two stolen ATV’s were also recovered as a part of the investigation. The individuals arrested, whose names are listed below, are from counties all around North Georgia, including Hall County, White County, Lumpkin County and Gwinnett.
