Bay Pines National Cemetery is under the Veterans Administration umbrella. According to cemetery Director Douglas Maddox, it is required to follow the policies written by the VA when it comes to placing flags on graves in its cemeteries. (Skyla Luckey | Patch )
BAY PINES, FL Many families were upset to discover that flags were not placed by their loved one s headstone at Bay Pines National Cemetery for Memorial Day.
