Jared William Jones, 42, was taken into custody at the Extended Stay Pocatello. He was allegedly found to be in possession of numerous smoking devices, which returned a presumptive positive when tested for methamphetamine, and syringe filled with an unidentified liquid, according to an affidavit of probable cause. In addition to drug charges, the Bannock County Prosecutors Office is pursuing a persistent violator enhancement. Officers from the Chubbuck Police Department were dispatched to the Extended Stay around 4:40 a.m. on Monday responding to a 911 call, according to court documents.
