thanks, jaqui. we ve been looking ahead today to the 2012 presidential race. the president and the contenders. so where do we stand now? cnn s senior political analyst gloria borger joins me now from washington. gloria, we are focusing on the contenders for 2012 so what are we seeing in the early polling? well, we re seeing there a lot of contenders and that republican voters really are just judging by kind of name identification. let s take a look at our poll. we asked republicans only, who is most likely to win the republican nomination in 2012? as you see here, you ve got mitt romney who ran last time, 25%, palin ran last time, 24%. huckabee ran, 13%, gingrich, former speaker of the house, 7%, haley barbour, governor, 3%. then the others in the single digits that we ve got, ron paul, 3%, ran last time, tim pawlenty, ....
Through the republican controlled house it s unlikely that they will go anywhere after that in the senate. well, another week, another giant snowstorm. that s right. on the radar. this one is expected to take a southerly track raking across the plains and into the southeast. kansas could be looking at another foot of snow by tomorrow with points north seeing some wind chills of almost 40 below zero. oklahoma and arkansas are also expecting some heavy snowfall. jaqui jeras is tracking the system. we ll check in with her and get more details. and after yesterday s triumphant trip home, the super bowl champion green bay packers are ready to really celebrate. the team is hosting a return to title town. it s a party that will take place this afternoon at lambeau field. expect fireworks, speeches, and video highlights from the season. kickoff is in about two hours and as you might expect, all 56,000 tickets sold out. ....
Ali s blog at cnn.com/ali. in the meantime, there is a big, big winter storm sweeping through the plains and, by golly, headed our way, jaqui, down here in the south as well. i know. it is. and the southern plains states as well, marty. this is going to be a big deal over the next couple of days. already winter weary in the south this is going to be the third storm in about two weeks to ten days for you into the dallas area and oklahoma city expected to just really get plowed or snowed with this one so to speak as well. here s what it looks like on the radar picture. not terribly impressive right now with the exception of all the bright banding we re seeing across southern and central parts of kansas. wichita could be picking up a good foot of snow potentially. we ve already seen 9 inches along the i-70 corridor into central parts of kansas and we re hearing that it s just treacherous in terms of travel today. you don t want to do this. denver, you re starting to wind down a little ....

thank you, jaqui. i needed to laugh today. appreciate it. top of the hour. i m carol costello. let s check the big stories. apple ceo steve jobs is taking another medical leave effective today. jobs did not get into detail about his new health problems. in an e-mail to employees, he was absent from apple for part of 2008 and 2009 for a liver transplant. human rights groups are demanding haiti arrest the former dictator baby doc duvalle who returned to the country last night though it is not clear why. he fled to france 25 years ago to escape a popular uprising. haitians in the united states are in a state of utter disbelief. everybody was shocked, you know, why haiti, why now? this news fell on us like a brick that duvalle was in haiti. we are all in shock. just when we thought it could never get worse in haiti, it has gotten worse. we are asking questions at this time to see why at this ....
