Enjin Coin Becomes the First Gaming Cryptocurrency Approved by Japanese Regulators Enjin coin became the first gaming cryptocurrency approved in Japan after clearing out the well-known tough country regulator’s requirements. The green light is possible through a partnership with Hashport. ENJ Is Set to Be Listed in Coincheck on January 26 According to the announcement, enjin coin (ENJ) was granted legal status by the Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association (JVCEA), the country’s official crypto watchdog. The blockchain gaming platform said its token would be listed on Coincheck on January 26, 2021, allowing Japanese users to purchase it with Yen and trade with bitcoin (BTC). ENJ skyrocketed 71% after the news and is now exchanging hands at $0.4385, according to market data.

FSA in Japan Says XRP Is Not Security

Financial authorities in the United Kingdom have the same position. Authorities in Japan have said that they do not consider the XRP token closely connected to Ripple‘s solutions to be a security. This was made known via a report by The Block. According to the report, the Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) said that the token does not fulfill the criteria of being called a security under the laws of the country.  In the statement attributed to the Agency, the FSA says it regards XRP as a cryptocurrency based on the definitions of its Payment Services Act.
