The Dean s List at Bates is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.88 or higher. The following Birmingham-area students made the list: Subscribe Ellie Vance of Birmingham: Vance, the daughter of Joyce White Vance and Robert S. Vance Jr., is a 2017 graduate of Altamont School. She is majoring in politics and psychology at Bates. Ryan Standaert of Vestavia Hills: Standaert, the son of David G. Standaert and Janet L. Standaert, is a 2020 graduate of Indian Springs School. ....
