GREENVILLE â Denis G. Mahoney, 78, of Norton Hill, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was born in Brooklyn on August 20, 1942, son of the late Dennis and Agnes Schuler Mahoney. Denis was retired from the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, where he was a Professor and Chairman of the English Department. He served for many years as a lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Baptist Church in Greenville. Denis divided his time between Norton Hill and Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, where he stayed with his cousin Janet. He enjoyed working with his students and colleagues, and loved his family and friends. Denis lived a faith-centered life, and enjoyed caring for his cousinâs guide dogs, who were his pets. ....
